Led On The Far Right Is On.

Hi. Someone gave me an old a25-s207 and I need some help. When I first turned it on, I got the initial start up screen but afterwards the screen went blank. I noticed that there's a light on the front to the right of the harddrive led that is lite. I thought maybe the battery might need to be replaced so I unplugged the ac cord and turned the system on and all the lights came on but the hard drive light. I'm thinking that the hard drive is locked somehow. anybody know how to unlock it? I've tried the Fn + F5 keys but got nothing. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did what you suggested and still nothing. When I first got the system and turned it on, the toshiba screen with bios came on then it went blank. Now I don't even get that. Not to mention that I still haven't gotten an answer as to what the led to the right of the hard drive light is and why it's on.

Greetings. A laptop is still expected to display the Toshiba logo and BIOS writtings even when it has no hard drive. A blank screen normally result from misconfigured BIOS, bad RAM, bad CPU, bad Power Supply, bad screen mechanism (Gpu, screen ribbon, inventer, etc). There exist a quick fix for misconfigures BIOS -

1. Remove both the battery and the AC Adapter (Charger).

2. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.

3. Replace both the removed and power it on.

Hope that is helpful.
