Toshiba 72mx195 Problem With Picture Color.

When color, contract, brightness,etc. are set to default levels, there is a lot of extra red splotches to the right of people images and other objects on screen. could this be the color wheel?

It is not the color wheel, it's the DMD board on the optical engine. I'm working on the same model with blue smear, and it developed into a tartan like pattern over the video on the bottom section of the screen. (the customer said he noticed the smearing first)

The optical engine needs replacing, expect $600-$700 total (parts and labor).
