Thermador Warming Drawer Wdc30 Stopped Heating
I have a Thermador wdc30 warming drawer that is not heating.It's probably 10 years old and started this suddenly 2 weeks ago.The control panel is lit and reacts correctly on pressing buttons.When selecting "plate warming" , the timer displays "30 minutes" as expected and the control led starts to blink, what it always does if the drawer is open.Now it still blinks even if the drawer is closed, the timer doesn't start and the "ceran" field doesn't heat up.I took it out and apart. There is only one fixed connector with 1 pin and 2 small clamps on the back of the unit/casing and an opposite part on the drawer, that are supposed to slide into each other when the drawer is closed and create the electrical connection.I checked the voltage at the plug at the back of the casing, found 120V and all 3 contacts look good. I can only guess it connects properly, as I cant find a way to test it if the drawer is pushed in.Only strange thing (to me) is, that I measure 120 at the casing connector even if the control panel is switched off and I would have assumed there is none if off ?So there might be more than one problem ?

Check function of the socket, e.g. with a lamp. If the socket does not function, check whether the residual-current-operated circuit-breaker (FI) or the domestic fuse for the electric circuit has tripped. Mains fuse and residual-current-operated circuit-breaker (FI) are for your safety and respond if there has been an overload or short-circuit in the electric circuit. Check whether other appliances in the electric circuit have caused an overload. If required, contact an electrician.
