Tv Turns On And Off All By Itself
i have a Sony KDL-55NX810 tv, it turns itself off for about 5 seconds then turns back on. it dose this at random intrvals. the greem indicator light stays lite through the proccess. ive tried taking remotes out of the room to see if they caused it. i have other stuff pluged in the same power outlet wich act normal. i went thru the settings on the tv also to see if they might be causing it. thanks for any imput

This sounds like you are losing the LED back lights, and when they turn off the normal operation should be for the set to turn off and the LED indicator to blink 4 or 6 times. . But since your set is apparently no shutting down Then the Main board could be the problem (BUHT Board). Do you still have audio after the set looses the picture? In a dark room and with a bright flashlight pointing into the screen, can you see the picture is still there?
when the set turns off it gose thru the normal shut down restart procedure, it makes a clicking nose when shuting down then after a few seconds it clicks again tv warms up shows the sony logo then it gose to what you where watching last. the green light stays on with no blinking thru this whole proccess. thanks for help!!! p.s. ive been doing a little research and a couple other peolple had smae problem and they seem to think its tied to the last firmware update, althoe there problems where awhile ago like a year or so. and my problem just started a week or so ago, my firmware was set to auto update so i dont know when it updated last.
