Is Their Any Recalls On The Sony Bravia Model Kdl46xbr5
We have the screen showing a double picture when we turn it on and we called the extended warranty and they checked and said they were giving to order a new screen and then I received a phone call saying that it would cost 3,000 dollars and they want to buyout our tv

this problem occurred in many models and sizes with many manufacturers. as a result of some class action suite Sony has extended the warranty for these models and was paying to have the LCD panel replaced until the end of this month. Then the tsunami damaged their factory and as of the first of this year they stopped shipping the replacement panels and it has been the buy out or discount on a new set is the only options that I have heard of.
If you didn't buy an extended warranty, or if you would have bought the 40" or 55" version then you would have nothing but a broken TV. Luckily you have the right model and size and it has broke before the dead line. I have hundreds of customers who wish they had an option like what they are are offering you. You coulds have owned the Toshiba models that had the same issue with no recourse.
