Unfortunately, this is due to one or more internal parts failing. Without diagnosis/testing, etc, it's difficult to advise what repairs are necessary. Therefore, I would suggest proceeding with service repairs.
Bear in mind, due to the age of your TV, and repair costs, it may be cheaper to replace the TV than repair it.
