Where Can I Get A New Charger / Is There Tec. Assistance To Fix These Cameras?

My Sony handycam hi8 have stopped reading the hi8 video tapes I recorded with it yearsago. However I have been using the camera to record images into VHS tapes by connecting it with a VCR. Just recently the AC Power adaptor stoped working and I would like to get one but have not been able to find it online. Also is there any possible techinical assistance that I could perhaps send the camera to fix it so I can use it to watch the Hi8 video tapes I made with it. If not what are my options in order to watch the tapes? Thank you, Marcelo Pereira ccd-sc55 charger
