My Sharp Zq-160 Will Not Turn On.

I replaced the batteries, using the correct procedure, about two months ago and it has gone well since. However, for no apparent reason, it will not turn on now. I have now replaced the batteries again, following correct procedures. Any suggestions? Can I get it to go again? Can I download the information on to my computer without the ZQ-160 powered up? etc? Any ideas??
