My Sharp A520 Is Not Turning On Since Yesterday.
I used my register last night properly but when I tried to take out the daily report it got turnEd off by itself. But now it is not turning son at all. What should be the problem I called my local register guy and he said it is because everything is erased and battery is down? I wanted to find out before he does something and charge me unreasonable.

If you didn't turn the register off at the power then it is not the battery and you are about to get ripped off. The battery holds the programming and sales data when the power is off. The battery lasts around 5 years and should be changed by a tech around this time. If you leave it plugged in and switched on, the battery stays charged. Even if the battery fails, you won't have problems until the power is turned off. If you want to have a go yourself, you will need the dealer manual. C-tech have it here:
