Sharp Lc40c45u Green Light Stays On

ths is an indication that the back lights have failed to start up 5 times. Once it hits the fifth time it will fail to even try o come on until the counter has been reset by a technician. the tech can force it to come on by pressing the [volume down] and the [input] buttons on the TV keyboard whenn applying the AC power cord, then when the power indicator turn solid green then release the buttons. Then with a trained eye and test equipment they can determine if one of the lamps in the panel has failed (this is not a good thing), or if it's the inverter stage (better deal).
