Samsung Wb110. It Keeps Powering Off While I Am Trying To Take And Retrieve Pics

I have to open the battery door and then it sort of resets and I can take a picture or 2 then it shuts down again. It also will not connect to my PC with the USB. I have tried taking the memory card out and it still does it. This camera is only a few months old.

Either the battery contacts or firmware failure
