Component Cables
i connected my xbox360 with component cables to the tv and the picture is coming up black and white and i cannot figure out why. i want it to be color.

Should work. Make sure the right cables are in the right jacks. Have you tired HDMI, you'll get a far better picture.
As I recall there is a switch on the video connector that plugs into the Xbox 360. If that switch is in the wrong position your video will be screwed up. Try flipping that switch. It's on the plastic "knob" at the end of the cable that plugs into the Xbox.
