Samsung 52' 1080p Startup Problem - Green Screen

Our Samsung 52 inch 1080p LCD is 1 1/2 years old. For the last few days we've been experiencing a recurring problem on start up. The entire picture area displays dense green vertical lines of "static", after which the TV shuts down within 5-10 seconds and then restarts. This process may repeat 1 or 2 times before the normal picture appears. Once a normal picture appears the problem has not resurfaced. I checked the cables and they are all tightly connected. The TV is hooked up to a PS3 and Dish Network system which has worked error free for as long as we have had the TV. Is the startup problem indicative of a particular error with the TV?

It may not be the cable but the source you are turnign the TV on with. It could also be a failed RCA input or most likely one of the boards are failing. If your TV is still under warranty this will be covered and can be fixed by your local repair service
