We Had A Power Failure And Now The Display Panel Flashes All 8's
Pushing buttons does nothing

This was the only display 8's incident I could find; I hope this helps.
My temperature display is showing "88" on the freezer and "89" on the frifge side, but temps appear to be normal. pushing the buttons for power cool or freezer don't do anything, where they would at least normally beep. Close appears the digital display is just cycling through the possible fields...

I fixed this by holding in the two POWER Buttons at the same time for a few seconds... My display showed 88 88 but the 88 on the fridge side had one bar flashing so it looked like 89 but the nine was a mirror image of a 9... this happens when there is a power outage. All the displays came back on to normal. My fridge is a RF263 French Doors... What a great fridge, Spacious and well lighted. TerryD
