Part Of Screen Black

One of my customer has a ln52a540p2fxa with one third of picture black on right side and the rest of screen is normal with good picture, by tapping right side I get v lines, v bars and another set of vertical stripes at one time got a full screen with good picture. Could this be a bad panel. Thanks Larry
