Samsung Hlm617w Replaced Bulb And Still Dark Screen. Next?ballast?colorwheel?

The tv made a noise, had red near the bottom and had bars going across it and went dark. 3 lights blinking on front indicate bulb replacement. Ordered OEM bulb and replaced.(old bulb looked OK, not blown or discolored like I've seen before). When I powered up you could here it starting up, a little whirring noise and auto shutoff like before with 3 lights blinking.

the noise is a bad color wheel. when it runs too slow the lamp will not get the enable signal to turn on the ballast. you should hear the color wheel attempt to start up three times before the indicators start to blink as the TV turns off
