Film Left On Dishes, Glasses And Silver Ware After Washing.

I just purchased this Samsung dishwasher 3 months ago and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. My dishes, silverware and glasses are left with a film that you can feel and see when they are done? I am not using a rinse aide; do I have to use one?
