Camcorder Has No Power

I bought my sister this RCA EZDVD1BD Memory Maker Bundle from eBay which included a Small Wonder EZ201A digital camcorder and a Memory Maker EZDVD1BDA DVD/burner-player dock. After you are finished recording video you simply place the camcorder on the dock and it will then burn the video & pictures straight to DVD. My sister bought new alkaline batteries for the Small Wonder EZ201A digital camcorder but can not get it to power on.
