Protection Mode On My Amp
so recently my amp went into protection mode, I have a Polk Audio PA880 amp I bought from a friend couple years ago. I've never had any issues has worked perfectly. Until recently the ground wire became loose and blew the fuse I have connected to my power. So I replaced the fuze and the amp and subwoofer started working perfectly fine. then the wire became loose on the power so I reinstalled the wire and everything works fine. But now when I turn the amp on the protection light comes on for maybe 3-5 seconds. Then the light disappears and the blue light indicating it is on works. But there is no sound or anything coming from my subwoofer. I have respliced and rewired everything figuring bad wire or bad connection. But everything came out perfectly connected all drawing power yet still no sound. I have a Rockford R1 hooked up and doesn't seem blown what do I do? Fuses are good wiring is good. Everything has been the same since the two years I've had it. Could the amp have blown?
