What Part Needs Replacing If The Picture Is Snowy And Fading Out?

since you didn't say what you are using for a signal source, and how you have it hooked up, I'm guessing you are hooked up through you TV tuner from a cable company source. You are either leaving the TV on channel 3 if you have a box from the cable company, or you change the channels on he TV (no box). You are getting channels like 4, 5, etc, not 4.1, 5.2, etc. If this is close then suspect the coax cable or the fittings are damaged to the TV input.

What does a DVD picture look like? I suspect it will be fine if you run it through video inputs.
