Unit Will Not Turn On. Standby Light Is On, But Can't Get It Turn On?

standby light is on. Power/standby button on unit will not turn unit on. Same with remote. The standby light does flash off then back really quick when you push the power/standby button. but unit will not turn on or leave standby mode. I have unplugged from wall for severl minutes, but still the same problem. Please help.
