How Can My Blu- Ray Disc Player Model No. Bd-sp308 Be Upgraded To Play 3d Videos

I bought a Blu- Ray Disc player 2 months ago. I havent used the machine, but I came to realise that it does not support 3D Video. I always get a message to upgrade it so that it can play this type of disc. How can I go about it or can I take it back to the dealer for the upgrade? My Player Model No. is BD-SP308.
