Treadmill Belt Stopping On Its Own

Yesterday the treadmill completely turned off on its own while being used. After 5 minutes, it was working again. Today, while using it, the belt stopped on its own but the power stayed on and the info panel looked as though nothing happened, it continued to keep time. I hit stop and start a few times and it started up again. Five minutes later, the belt stopped again. What is the fix?

The belt stops when I'm walking on the treadmill.

If the belt starts again when you step off, check the tension between the walking belt and board. The belt should lift 3-4". If the tension is fine, let the machine run by itself for a few minutes longer than your last workout or the last time the belt stopped. If the belt maintains its speed, the walking belt may be worn or lacking lubrication. Check your owner's manual or call the customer service hotline to find the lubrication appropriate for your machine. If the belt does not maintain its speed, call the customer service hotline.
