Can I Get My Router To Transmit Wireless Coming From A Usb?

I have a Virgin Broadband2go USB wireless receiver plugged in (The service sux but it's what I have for now) I tried plugging my WRT54GS router into the Ethernet connection, to see if I could broadcast wireless to my pandigital tablet, but no network is picked up although I'm picking up encrypted networks from neighboring trailers. Is there any way I can do this? This tablet requires a lot of stuff be downloaded to make it fully operational. I have an internet connection but can't seem to use it. Normally, the router would accept a cable connection through the coax port, then broadcast, but I was hoping it could go onto the existing network and broadcast. Or is that not possible? Right now I'm overpaying for internet but can only use it on my PC, not my wireless tablet. I'd go to the local Starbucks, but then I'll be paying ten bucks a day for coffee, which kind of kills the idea of getting a cheap pandigital tablet ;')
