Yes, is the response. So that you won't have to turn your laptop into a desktop, there are several ways to fix a broken laptop hinge. Don't want to spend a fortune on a new laptop when you can spend a little money fixing a broken or disassembled hinge instead of buying an expensive laptop.

You will find that the base is the part that needs replacing. This can be obtained by an auction search for S/H parts. Then take a look at You tube to discover how to dismantle the laptop. Transfer the insides to your new base and you will be good to go. Take photos as you go if that helps.
