Charging Problem Requst

First start with connecting to Lenovo support site using Lenovo Vantage and ensure that system is running optimally by running the hardware scan.

Then you can select your Lenovo product from a list and it will advise which drivers and updates you need and also which of them are mandatory or optional.

If this makes not difference try the following to Recalibrate the battery:-

1. Right-click the battery icon in your taskbar.
2. Click Power Options.
3. Click Change when the computer sleeps.
4. Click the dropdown menu next to Turn off the display.
5. Click Never.
6. Click the dropdown menu next to Put the computer to sleep.
7. Click the expand button next to Battery.
8. Click the expand button next to Critical battery action. Ensure the section next to On battery says Hibernate.
9. Click the expand button next to Critical battery level.
10. Click the percentage next to On Battery.
11. Click the down arrow to set the number as low as possible.
12. Click Apply.
13. Click OK.
14. Click Save changes.

Once the above is done,. let the laptop charge up to 100%, when it's there unplug the charger and let the battery power reach the point where it shuts off (ensure that the machine does not hibernate or sleep while doing this).Now charge the laptop again fully and the battery calibration should be dependable (if the literal health of the battery is shot then this won't make a significant difference and then it's a case of purchasing a replacement, try getting a 9 cell instead of the usual 6 cells)...
