Motor Does Not Spin

When on the rinse & spin cycle it sends singnal to the motor but the motor just jerks for a second. That it, no spinning . Motor like that when trying to wash too. LG WM2277HW,   WASHER

The possible causes to this could be:
  1. Have all the transit bolts and packing be removed??
  2. Wash load may be unevenly distributed in the drum
  3. Are all the feet resting firmly on the ground?

The solutions to such problems are:

1. See installation instructions for removing shipping bolts

2. Stop washer and re arrange wash load

3. Adjust the leveling feet

4. Make sure that all four feet are in firm contact with the floor, while the washer is in the spin cycle with load.
