Old Broken Phone With Dead Battery

I have a very old LG vx3400 with a dead battery and a broken hinge. I want to dispose of it. I wonder if there is a SIM card I should remove first that may contain information I may not want retrieved if found. I have no way to "power it up."

No, the phone does not have a SIM card. Since you can't turn the phone on it would be best to smash it before you dispose of it to make sure no one can get your personal information.
