Cannot Charge The Battery, Charging Light Turn Off After Few Seconds. Is It Dead

Trying to charge battery with electrical outlet or computer USB connection, charging light turns off after a few seconds even battery icon still shows ''low battery''. Do you think my battery dead ??? Got my camera for 4 years now so my battery has also 4 years. Thank's !
