S1220 Kodak Scanner With Windows 10 Freezing In Correction Mode

I am using the s1220 scanner software with my new Windows 10 computer. Periodically it freezes in image correction mode and I cannot complete any other scans. When I try to close the software and restart, it gives me a message saying it is already running (but it is not open!). How can I keep this from happening and continue without restarting my computer?

I suggest you to perform a hardware troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Method 1: Hardware Troubleshooter

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Printer. Refer these steps:

1. Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
2. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
3. Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
4. Run the Hardware and devices.

Check if it helps.

If the issue persist, download and install the latest scanner/ drivers from the manufacturer website and check if it helps.

Support of the TWAIN drivers from Kodak Alaris was suspended at Windows 8. The application is advertised to be compliant with the older versions of the Kodak i11XX model scanners in their latest Win 10 application.
