Why is my kenwood Kdc-x494 excelon radio stuck in protect mode after playing loud music?

you could damaged a speaker then shorted it or your audio amplifier in the unit overheated and shorted too it's why the protect mode you can try to disconnect speakers to see if it works if no result your radio need servicing
