Some Android Phones will not be able to activate a Bluetooth connection automatically from the phone to the receiver. In this case, please make the connection from the Car Receiver, in the Settings menu
Or try this
Restart Car Receiver and KENWOOD Remote App. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone, and turn it on again. Delete all pairing information in the Car Receiver, and in the Phone. Then try pairing one more time.
