- Check the power source: Make sure that the unit is properly connected to a power source and that the power source is working correctly. If the power source is a car battery, check that the battery is fully charged and that the connections are secure.
- Check the fuses: The unit may have an internal fuse that has blown. Check the fuse and replace it if necessary. The fuse is typically located on the back of the unit, near the power connector.
- Reset the unit: Try resetting the unit by disconnecting the power source and then reconnecting it after a few seconds. This can sometimes help to clear any internal errors that may be causing the issue.
- Check the wiring: Check that all the wiring is properly connected and that there are no loose or damaged connections. If any wiring appears damaged, repair or replace it as necessary.
If none of these steps resolves the issue, it may indicate a problem with the unit itself. In this case, it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for further assistance.

You should try to reset the unit.
To reset first switch off the unit then Disconnect the unit from power supply/batteries then disconnect any other units connected to it, after that Leave it disconnected for 30 minutes. It should reset itself then start again.

To perform a reset on the Jensen VM9312, you can follow these steps:
Turn off the car's ignition and remove the key from the ignition.
Press and hold the "reset" button located on the front of the unit.
While holding the reset button, turn on the car's ignition.
Continue holding the reset button for at least 10 seconds, until the unit powers off and then back on again.
Release the reset button and wait for the unit to finish rebooting.
This should reset the Jensen VM9312 to its default settings. Please note that any custom settings and configurations will be erased during the reset process, so you will need to reconfigure the unit to your preferences.
Please respond to my effort to provide you with the best possible solution by using the "Acceptable Solution" and/or the "Helpful" buttons when the answer has proven to be helpful.
