You should try to reset the unit.
To reset first switch off the unit then Disconnect the unit from power supply/batteries then disconnect any other units connected to it, after that Leave it disconnected for 30 minutes. It should reset itself then start again.

To perform a reset on the Jensen VM9312, you can follow these steps:
Turn off the car's ignition and remove the key from the ignition.
Press and hold the "reset" button located on the front of the unit.
While holding the reset button, turn on the car's ignition.
Continue holding the reset button for at least 10 seconds, until the unit powers off and then back on again.
Release the reset button and wait for the unit to finish rebooting.
