I Have A Jvc Dlp 52'' Hd52z575 Tv And The Color Is Messed Up, Need Help!

I have a JVC DLP 52'' HD52Z575 TV and the color is messed up, need help! Basically if you have a totally white screen with a man standing on teh left half, there will be a Yellow Ghost of him on the right half of the screen. The image seems as if the yellow is mirrored. I ahve confirmed that the problem is the TV and not the cables because it does this on all incoming connections (DCD, CamCorder, Games, etc.) It started out just happening when you first turn the tv on and you could fix it by letting it stay on for 5 min, then turning it off and then back on again and it was fixed and would stay fixed the rest of the day (ALL DAY). Then a few weeks went by and it would start taking 10 min that it had to be running before you could turn off nad on again to get it to appear correctly, then 15 and eventually, you just couldn't get the tv to show correctly by turning it off and back on again any more.

this is not a DLP, JVC never made one, it's a LCD type rear projection (HDiLA). The problem I can see is the blue is horizontally reversed, the red and the green is working. There is a chance that you have a loose connection on the control board and hopefully a tech can find it and you will only have a labor bill (expect $200-$250 if done it the shop). If not then the circuit board will need to be replaced and now the cost is too much ($600-$700)

The solution is an easy fix. Ignore anyone telling you to take it to a service center or to replace the convergence driver. You need to access the service menu on your television by using your remote control:

DRIVE CONVERGENCE Adjustment (Using remote control)

•Use the inner RGB box pattern.

(1)Set the [SLEEP TIMER] key to 0 min.

(2)Press the [DISPLAY] key and the [VIDEO STATUS]key simultaneously.

(3)Press the [9] key to display the RGB box pattern.

(4)Select the R mode by pressing the [DISPLAY] key.

(5)Adjust the R mode to setting as same as G mode bypressing the [CH ]+ / [CH -] key.

(6)Select the B mode pressing by the [DISPLAY] key.

(7)Adjust the B mode to setting as same as G mode bypressing the [VOL] - / [VOL +] key.

(8)Check to see that the cross pattern is white. If thecross pattern is not white, readjust (5) to (6).

That's it, your color is now corrected. Yes, I know...your welcome.
