To disassemble and clean your Hoover SmartWash Automatic, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the unit is unplugged from the power source before starting the cleaning process.

2. Remove the clean water tank and dirty water tank from the unit. Empty and clean the dirty water tank according to the manufacturer's instructions.

3. Detach the nozzle and brush roll cover by pressing the release buttons or removing screws if necessary. This varies depending on the specific model, so consult your user manual for guidance.

4. Clean any dirt, debris, or hair accumulated on the brush roll and around the nozzle opening. Use a soft brush or cloth to remove any residue.

5. Check for any blockages in the nozzle or suction pathway. Any clogs can hinder the machine's performance. Carefully remove any debris or obstructions using a small brush or your fingers.

6. If needed, remove the brush roll to clean it more thoroughly. Some models have a release button or latch to remove the brush roll, while others require unscrewing. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions.

7. Rinse the brush roll with warm water and gently scrub away any dirt or debris. Ensure the brush roll is completely dry before reassembling it back into the cleaner.

8. Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or residue.

9. Once all components are cleaned and dry, reassemble the nozzle, brush roll cover, clean water tank, and dirty water tank following the reverse order of disassembly.

10. Plug in the Hoover SmartWash Automatic and conduct a test run to ensure everything is working correctly before resuming regular use.

Remember to consult your user manual for detailed instructions specific to your Hoover SmartWash model, as there may be slight variations in the disassembly and cleaning process.
