Video Issues

1/2 of my laptop video screen is off color and is not sharp. Should I consider replacing the mother board, video card or monitor? It is an HP xh002ua#aba

It sounds like a broken LCD screen. You can confirm this by plugging the laptop into an external display via HDMI. If it displays fine on the external screen then the laptop's screen needs to be replaced.
