Dual Channel Issue On Prodesk 400 G3 Mini

HelloI would like upgrade the dual channel function on my Prodesk 400 G3 mini (i3-7100T) but Sodimm slot #3 (DIMM3) doesn't work (RAM beeps error at startup).Only DIMM1 configuration works. Is dual channel possible on the Prodesk 400 G3 mini ?HP documents are not clear about this topic. Many thanks.Philippe (France)

I would like to precise that Dimm3 generates Ram beeps errors when sodimm is inserted at startup.

Same beeps occurs when i insert a sodimm inside Dimm3 which works perfectly on Dimm1.

In conclusion, I consider Dimm3 slot is faulty (without any visual problem on insert pins)

Nevertheless, is HP hardware support can confirm Prodesk 400 G3 mini accepts dual channel ?

Product number : Y5F30AV
Serial number : 8CG74089X

Thank

Would like to ask you something.

Does the motherboard give you beep noises when the original RAM is installed on the other slot?!

If your answer is yes then the slot is faulty.

There are only two instances when your PC will give you beep noises when the memory stick is plugged in.

1. When the memory stick ( RAM ) is faulty.
2. Its the memory slot on the motherboard which is faulty.

Check out a working memory stick on the all the slots on the motherboard. And mark the one on which the working memory is giving beeping noise to the PC.

This would prove the functionality of your memory slots.
