1 Long Beep On Startup

I am having a problem on startup where as i press the power button and as the computer starts up there is one long beep and a red light on the fourth light slot from the right, the one with the little electric looking signal in the box. I am at a lost for what the problem could be and in need of some senarios to find out what the problem is...
