How Do I Lighten Black Ink On An Hp Officejet 4500

Initially I would suggest printing in 'draft mode' which would use less black. However it will also lower the other colours as well. I have attached a link to HP which should give help to resolve your problem.
There should be the ability to change to density of print in the control panel setting in the printer properties on your PC as well.
