The printer displays a system error of E4000, E4100 and E4140 on start up. The reason is the capping station value is set to 0. To clear this error: Turn the printer on in Maintenance Mode while holding the cancel key and power key. Enter the password. (Left Arrow, Right Arrow, Shift, OK) Go into the P.ADJ menu scroll to CAP POSITION and change the capping station value to anything other than 0. Now the printer should start up and operate normally without the error. If this does not resolve this issue follow the Procedure in Chapter 1 of the Service Manual for Both NVRAM and Main PCA are Replaced Together. NOTE: These values are stored on the NVRAM. If this value was at 0 then it is very likely the NVRAM has been corrupted. Please refer to the Service Manual to check all the other settings and calibrations that might need to be done
