What Do I Need To Do To Stop The Printer Ink From Smudging?
When printing, the ink smears on the right side of the page. I understand it is an old model but is there anything that can be done?

Normally ink smudging can be the transfer corona wire could need cleaning or you have a faulty power supply. If there are any error messages then these can be decoded to point to the problem. Cleaning out the machine is a must. However do not use a normal vacumn cleaner as the particles in toner cartridges is too fine and could get into the motor and destroy it. Also they are carcenogenic so breathing them in is to be avoided. Special toner-vacs are available. The toner cartridge itself can be faulty and trying an exchange could resolve the problem straight away.
