Anyway the procedure for Windows XP is:
Go to the Start Menu
Click on Control Panel
After the Control Panel loads, click on user accounts
Once the user accounts window opens then click on the account you wish to change the password on
Then click on change password
Then type in your current password, new password and new password again into the appropriate boxes (they are labeled)
Then click Change Password and you password is changed
In Windows Vista/Windows 7
Click on the Start Menu and then Click on the Control Panel
(If the Control Panel is not displayed on your Start Menu then type Control Panel into the search box below All Programs on the Start Menu to bring it up and then click on that)
Then either click on User Accounts and Family Safety or just User Accounts (will depend on what mode the Control Panel is in)
Then either click Change Your Windows Password or Manage Another Account (depends on previous choices)
If you had to choose Manage Another Account then select the account you need to change the password on
After getting to the Change Password screen, simply enter the old password, new password and new password again, just like the Windows XP procedure and your password is changed.
