Hello globeurl HP has listed the following steps to solve Error 79, Take it step by step. Trying each one at a time, if it doesn't work move on to the next one
1. Turn the printer off and then turn the printer on.
2. Try printing a job from a different software program.
3. Replace the network cable and cycle power.
4. Remove the network card and cycle power.
5. Remove the dimms one at a time and cycle power.
6. Try using the parallel interface, and printing threw the parallel cable to test the mother board.
7. With the network removed, Perform a cold reset.
8. If network cable is removed and you still have an error.
9. Replace the EIO card or Network card.
10. Replace the firmware DIMMS.
11. Replace the formatter board.
