Answer #1: Posted by SonuKumar on October 2nd, 2023 9:41 AM
Remove the air file from the air hose.
Remove the chuck from the air file.
Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the gear cover in place.
Remove the gear cover.
Locate the two timing gears. The larger gear is the drive gear and the smaller gear is the driven gear.
Make sure that the timing marks on the two gears are aligned.
Reinstall the gear cover and secure it with the two screws.
Reinstall the chuck.
Reattach the air file to the air hose.
Here are some additional tips for timing the gear set on your Central Pneumatic 91773 air file:
Make sure that the air file is properly lubricated.
Use a high-quality air compressor.
Do not overtighten the gear cover screws.
Check the timing of the gears regularly, especially if you notice any changes in the performance of the air file.
If you are not comfortable timing the gear set yourself, you can take your air file to a qualified service technician.
Please note that the Central Pneumatic 91773 air file is not a professional tool and should not be used for heavy-duty applications.
