Front Usb Not Working Properly

I have a M68MT-S2P board. Both of the front usb connections are going back and forth from device being connected to device not being connected. This occurs every 3-4 seconds. It happens with my apple devices and with an exterior backup drive. Please suggest my next step to troubleshoot.
