Remote Doesn't Work

I have programmed  the remote but it still won't work

1. Change the batteries in the remote.
2. Make sure to press the TV button on the remote.
3. Make sure the IR detector on the TV is clean.
4. Aim the remote directly at the TV's IR detector from a close distance (less than 3 feet).
5, If the TV turns on, you have fixed the problem. Great!
6. If the TV still does not turn on with the remote, either the remote control unit is defective, or the TV's IR detector is defective.

Over 90 percent of the time, the problem is not with the TV, but with the remote control unit. They get dropped and bounced around, which often times causes the IR diode in the remote to break.

If you did all the above and the remote still does not work, get a cheap "universal" remote and try using it to control your TV. That will most likely fix your problem.
