Carriage Against Header Bracket
I own a Genie PowerMax 1500, screw drive garage door opener. My carriage disconnected from the shuttle and has traveled down the screw rod, stopping at the header bracket. When I went through the steps of the Programming Limits, (pg.6-7 of Operation & Maint. Manual) a loud ratcheting sound occurred so I immediately stopped the re-programming. I can only conclude that the sound was the carriage tripping on the groves of the screw rod because it can't go any further. How do I REVERSE the direction of the screw rod so it will travel back toward the power head so I can reconnect it to the shuttle?
