Upgrading Memory

Do I have to save/transfer the data on the old memory cards before I install the new memory cards

You don't actually need to transfer any data from your old memory card if you wish to install or upgrade into a new card. This is because a computer memory does not store information permanently unlike the hard disk drive. It just a memory used by the computer system while the computer is turned on. After turning off the system, all the data will be deleted and you will be free to upgrade your system. You can read additional information from the article links provided below.
