How Do I Upgrade The Bios Or Install New Ram Without Beeps

my pc is a gateway sx2800 i have 2 2gb sticks of ram installed and trying to install 4 more gigs of ram but when i do the system beeps and wont start. i was recommended to buy this ram for my pc from a website any help i do audio mixing, mastering and production on my pc and really need the ram upgrade. thanks in advance

If your installed memory was 2 sided modules I suggest you add the same type. Check this post for reason for using the RAM sugested above: cadworm Dec 14, 2010, 3:57 PM
