Communication Error

Display shows "E6" and the power emblem flashes 6 times & off for 2 sec and starts again. Does this mean communications failed between indoor and outdoor units? If so, how does one determine which control board is at fault?

E-6 Outlet pipe sensor open/short circuit. Replace it.
